Training School: NPQML & NPQSL
National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership

NPQSL is for those individuals who not only have responsibility for leading a team, but are also involved in leading a range of issues that affect the whole school or organisation.
Finham Park School, situated in the south west of Coventry, will be facilitating this NPQSL cohort on behalf of Leadership Live which has Lawrence Sheriff Teaching School at its heart.
This is an exciting new qualification that is awarded by the National College but delivered in your area by experienced teachers and senior leaders, focused on the context of your school and your role.
Not only will you have the opportunity to meet regularly with teachers from across the region you will have the support of high quality on-line materials produced by the National College. Access to up to date research and case studies will enable you to work at Masters level and can be tailored to your individual needs.
The course is split into modules and to complete NPQSL four will need to be completed. The essential modules include 'Succeeding in Senior Leadership' and 'Closing the Gap'. A further two will come from a menu of electives. Further information can be found on the Leadership Live website.

National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership

The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML) is a new qualification that is part of the National College leadership curriculum. NPQML provides national recognition of your leadership development and professional achievement as a Middle Leader.
Who is it suitable for?
NPQML is aimed at individuals with responsibility for leading a team, including Key Stage/Subject/Curriculum Leaders, Heads of Department and Pastoral Leaders.
What will you learn?
The qualification is designed to support you in becoming a highly effective Middle Leader, with the skills, confidence and knowledge to drive successful team performance and improved classroom practice.
You will complete three modules, two essential and one elective. Each module requires up to 50 hours of blended learning. This typically consists of 20 hours workplace learning, 6 hours of face-to-face activity, including peer and facilitated learning, 6 hours of coaching/ reflection and 18 hours online learning.
