Dear Member of Associate Staff
Role of Associate Staff Governor at Finham Park School
The governing body is responsible for both the conduct of the school and for promoting high standards. We carry out our role by setting the vision for the school and ensuring that the school works efficiently and effectively towards achieving its vision. We do this by building a sound knowledge of the school and its community, both by supporting and challenging the school, and ensuring accountability and compliance. The governing body of our school is made up of parent governors, staff governors and co-opted governors.
A vacancy has arisen for an Associate Staff governor on our governing body. Application letters outlining your suitability for the role and detailing your experience should be addressed to the Chair of the Local Governing Body, Mrs P Kang, Finham Park School, by 19 July 2019.
The local governing body meets at Finham Park School approximately six times per year at 6pm, usually on a Tuesday. All governors are expected to read reports and data on school standards ahead of meetings. You will also be expected to take part in other activities in support of the school.
Paul Bates is happy to have a chat with anyone interested in applying, as he was a member for many years. We look forward to hearing from you.
Mrs P Kang
Chair of Governors
