Exams Results Information
A Level Results
Finham Park Sixth Form students continued to perform well this year with results showing that over a fifth of our students studying A Level subjects achieved A*-A grades, a 10% improvement on last year. Almost half of our students achieved A*-B grades and nearly three quarters of grades were awarded at a C grade or above. 8 students achieved exceptional results with all grades being awarded at A/A*. 98% of students who applied are going to the university of their choice, with 6 students being accepted onto medicine courses.
Mr Bishop, the Headteacher, said “congratulations to all our students on your results. The hard work and dedication you have put in over your school career has paid off today enabling lots of you to secure the next stage in your education or employment. May I wish you every continued success as you now make the most of the opportunities before you.”
Students and staff at Finham Park school are celebrating another year of excellent results: students achieved a record number of top grade 9s. We are equally proud that around 70% of the grades our students achieved were a grade 5 or higher, and 84% were a grade 4 or higher.
Our male students have done particularly well, having achieved the highest attainment score for several years across all subjects. Around 80% of our students achieved 5 grade 9-4 or equivalents, meaning our cohort is very well equipped to move on to the next stage of their education.
Over 75% of students achieved at least grade 4s in both English and Maths, with 87% achieving it it in English alone.
A record number of our students have once again applied to our sixth form, and 100% of students have been able to progress to the next stage of their education or to a job. We are incredibly proud of our students and wish them well for their next steps.
Mr Bishop, headteacher, said “we are all incredibly impressed with our students performance once again this year. It is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff who worked tirelessly to ensure students have access to the very best opportunities as they love into the next stage of the their learning careers. Congratulations to everyone.”
GCSE Results 2018
We were delighted with the GCSE examination results for 2017/18; a testament to the amazing dedication and hard work from students, staff and parents. There were many happy faces on results day as 80% of students achieved 5 or more grades 9-4 including English and Maths with 54% achieving a grade 5 in both subjects.
With over 100 of the new grade 9s being awarded this year and 33% of all grades being a grade 7 or above (ie: A/A*), the overall attainment of our students continued to rise. Our Progress 8 measure is set to be at least +0.35 for this cohort as indicated by the DfE performance tables checking exercise. As a result of these grades, 196 students have entered into the Sixth Form.
100% of students proceeded to further education, employment or training in either our sixth form, college courses and apprenticeships or other work-based training around the region.
Congratulations to each individual on the progress they have made and thanks to the staff, parents and governors for the support they have given our students on their journey to this point.
Post-16 Results 2018
We were absolutely delighted with our 2018 Sixth Form results. 61% of our students gained A*-B grades, with almost a third of all grades being awarded as a grade A/A*. These results were a fantastic reflection of the hard work, dedication and efforts of our students, staff, governors and parents.
Again, 100% of students secured places on future education, employment or training courses with the vast majority of our students being accepted at a university of their choice.
Congratulations to everyone.
