GCSE Results 2018
We are delighted with the GCSE examination results today; a testament to the amazing dedication and hard work from students, staff and parents. There were many happy faces as 80% of students achieved 5 or more grades 9-4 including English and Maths with 54% achieving a grade 5 in both subjects.
With over 100 of the new grade 9s being awarded this year and 33% of all grades being a grade 7 or above (ie: A/A*), the overall attainment of our students continues to rise. We look forward to receiving our Progress 8 measure for this cohort later in September. As a result of these grades, early indications show that over 200 students will be eligible to enter into the Sixth Form, with some students proceeding to college courses and apprenticeships or start other work-based training around the region.
I would like to congratulate each individual on the progress they have made and thank the staff, parents and governors for the support they have given our students on their journey to this point.
6th Form Results 2018
We are absolutely delighted with our 2018 Sixth Form results. 61% of our students gained A*-B grades, with almost a third of all grades being awarded as a grade A/A*. These results are a fantastic reflection of the hard work, dedication and efforts of our students, staff, governors and parents.
Students have secured places on many prestigious courses with the vast majority of our students being accepted at a university of their choice.
Congratulations to everyone and I would like to wish every one of our students the very best in the next stage of their journey.
